### **What: National Biomechanics Day 2026**

### **Who: High schoolers interested in biomechanics! (no experience necessary)**

### **Where: Harvard Science and Engineering Complex (150 Western Ave, Boston, MA)**

### **When: Sat May 16th, 2026**

### **Time: 10am-4pm**

In celebration of National Biomechanics Day, the Harvard Biodesign Lab invites high school students to spend a day learning about the field of **biomechanics** (*the math and science behind how we move!*). Students will tour research facilities and learn about motion capture techniques and measurement systems for biomechanics assessments. Students will be introduced to state-of-the-art wearable devices and then have a chance to think of their own solutions! Current Harvard Undergraduate and Graduate Students will talk about the role of biomechanics research in everyday life and provide their perspectives on educational and career paths. Current Harvard Clinical Research Managers will discuss responsible research practices, including the importance of diversity and inclusion.
