Materials library

The Soft Robotics Material Catalog lives in the Bioinspired Apparel Design and Sewing Studio a part of the Biodesign Lab. The catalog highlights a variety of commercially manufactured and custom developed materials: knits, wovens, nonwovens, high friction, fabrics, foams, laminations, fasteners, bindings, webbing, elastic, and conductive materials that are used in the development of our textile-based, wearable robotics including exo-suits and pneumatic devices, and can be referenced, across the lab, for future concepts. The catalog includes material specs, a sample swatch, and vendor information for each entry. As this collection is rapidly growing, the catalog is maintained by member of the Functional Apparel Design team.
